Kapton® Polyimide Film

Kapton® film is DuPont’s recommended all-polyimide film, offering an exceptional balance of electrical, chemical, and mechanical properties across extreme temperatures. It can be laminated, metallized, punched, formed, or adhesive-coated, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial applications. Common uses include mechanical and electronic parts, electrical insulation, pressure-sensitive tape, fiber optics cable, insulation blankets and tubing, automotive diaphragms, sensors, manifolds, and etching and shims.

Mylar® Polyester Film

DuPont’s Mylar® films are known for their excellent dielectric strength, chemical and moisture resistance, and physical toughness. These films are commonly used in electrical and electronic applications due to their ability to withstand temperature extremes and their flexibility, strength, and durability. Mylar EL films are available in a range of gauges and widths, making them suitable for various industrial applications, including coating, die cutting, embossing, and laminating.
